Focus... on food

I know I've said this before, but I may have found a focus for my blog. It's been so obvious. It's always been right there in front of me. Food. I'm super into food. I cook several times a week. I bake for the holidays. And I'm nothing if not meticulous when it comes to preparing food. So, from here on out, that will be the primary focus of my blog. Food and all that it encompasses. I might write about cooking, ingredients, gardening, restaurants, meal delivery services, or even mail-order specialty food products.

Of course, I'll still review books. I know I haven't been doing that lately, but I've been busy trying to finish writing two different books. I'm not going to force myself to commit to a timeframe for reviews by saying I'll post one a week like I did before. That's just too much for me to have time to still write my own books, work at my job, and take care of my home. I'll simply post reviews as I finish books. Occasionally, I'll just put one up. And then I'll probably do what I did last year for ThrillerFest and post a review of an ITW author every day. When I attend Show Me Your Books KC in September of 2018, I'll be posting reviews of a few attending authors. This will be my random pattern for reviews going forward.

But food...OMG. Who doesn't love food? And what better person to write about food than an obsessive-compulsive chef who also happens to be an author? So, yeah. It's gonna happen. But again, I can't commit myself to a timeframe. I'm just too busy to add that stress to my shoulders. I'll post when I can, most likely starting in February. It'll be fine.

You're probably wondering what kind of blogs this hodge-podge of food has in store. I'll tell you! I've been trying different meal delivery services and I'm working on reviews for each of them. I've got quite a few recipes that are very popular in my circle that I'll post about, thus revealing my secrets. I'll review a line of gourmet flavored salts. And I'm considering a few others, but I just don't want to get ahead of myself.

So, stay tuned! Subscribe to my quarterly newsletter! Follow my RSS feed, if you know how. I can't figure it out because I'm not very tech-savvy. But I have followers, so it must be possible. LOL
